The New Sample Sound?

Sampling 90’s artists and reversing sampling.

The music industry is always moving, it feels like it changes over night at times. From Trap Music to Autotune and many other genres that go in and out. Now, reversing sampling or sampling beats from the 90’s are in. Lately sampling artists like: Aaliyah, Jodeci, Ginuwine, Jagged Edge, R Kelly, and Usher have been extremely popular. Drake and his OVO movement have helped bring that sound to the forefront. So my recommendation to you as an artist or producer is to gravitate to that sound while it’s popular and catchy! As we all know as artist or producer you have to ride the wave of the new style/sound to get your music heard. Once your sound is heard you can dictate the new direction.
As a producer I would be a fool if I did not recognize what’s hot in the industry right now, but I would be a bigger fool if I did not take advantage of it, and so would you as an artist. With that being said, I cooked up some of my own sample type beats, of course these have been influenced by what’s relevant in the industry right now.
